Reptile Salad Seeds (Blue Label) - Collard Greens, Mustard Greens and Rainbow Chard
local_offer

Seed Blend of Collard Greens, Mustard Greens and Rainbow Chard (approximately 300 seeds)

Omnivores such as bearded dragons benefit from a variety of leafy vegetables in their diet. By growing your own vegetables, you can ensure that your animals have access to the freshest possible, chemical and pesticide free food.

The seeds can be grown in pots with good quality potting mix or garden beds. Growing in several small pots can allow you to rotate the vegetables as they are eaten by your pet.

Sow a few seeds every week to provide a continual supply of food.

The Blue Label blend contains:

Collard Greens 'Vates' Brassica oleracea Acephala Group

This staple vegetable is heat and frost tolerant. The vigorous spreading plants have smooth, slightly crumpled leaves and many health benefits.

Collards are an antioxidant rich food high in vitamins A, C, K and B-6 plus fibre, calcium, iron and magnesium.

Mustard Greens 'Red Giant' Brassica juncea

A beautiful leafy green with large, deep, purple-red leaves and white mid-ribs. The plants are cold tolerant. Purple and red coloured vegetables contain valuable antioxidants. Mustard greens contain calcium, potassium, manganese, folate, C, A, K and B-group vitamins.

Rainbow Chard - Silverbeet 'Colour mix' Beta vulgaris ssp. Cicia

A beautiful vegetable with red, pink, yellow or green stems. Hardy and drought resistant. The large weirdly shaped seeds may benefit from soaking in water for 1-2 hours before planting. A valuable source of iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, folate, vitamins E, C, K and A.

Suitable for Bearded Dragons, People and other Omnivores. Also ideal to grow for chicken forage.
