Live Food Large Cricket Value Pack (200 Crickets)
These Cricket Value Packs are ideal for reptile enthusiasts who need lots of crickets, with the convenience of a container to keep them safe and secure. The sturdy, reusable, plastic box has a flip open hatch and removable lid. The packs come with plenty of hiding spaces and ventilation for maximum shelf life of the crickets. Please ensure that the crickets are regularly fed and watered with Gutload and Aquaload which is sold separately.
The Value Pack Containers are reusable for many purposes such as rearing hatchlings, housing insect pets, keeping portions of bulk insects or storing items around the home.
Pisces Crickets are Australia's premium crickets and have been used by zoos, wildlife sanctuaries, vets, animal carers, and families for over 20 years.
Crickets are a nutritious and natural addition to the diets of many animals. They are easy to use and are a wholesome livefood which helps to provide the protein and roughage animals would naturally acquire in the wild.
Crickets are also lively and the thrill of the chase brings out the natural hunting skills of captive animals which also provides enrichment.
How to Feed: If desired dust your crickets with Pisces Calcium, then grab a cricket with fingers or stainless steel feeding tongs. If they are too fast, you can place the cricket container into the fridge 5 minutes before you want to feed, it will slow the crickets down a bit. (Do not leave them in the fridge).
Only feed enough crickets that will be eaten immediately. Sometimes, escaped crickets may make a home for themselves in your animals' enclosure and may possibly damage lizard eggs or newly hatched birds during darkness. Some people prefer to have a separate smaller terrarium (e.g. Komodo Plastic Terrariums) to place their animals in when they feed crickets. This can make it easier, especially for babies or the elderly, to catch their crickets before they run away and hide.
Cricket Care and Storage: Pisces Crickets should be provided with fresh Aquaload and Woodie & Cricket Food or Gutload every few days. These water and food sources should be constantly available to maximize the longevity of the crickets and provide maximum nutrition to your animals.
Gutload is eaten by the crickets and then consumed by your animals before the cricket digests it providing a valuable boost of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals in addition to the nutrition in the cricket itself. This makes the crickets "Gutloaded."
Crickets prefer to be between 25 to 30 degrees Celsius. Avoid poisonous fumes, pesticides, and cleaning supplies near crickets.
Please note that the numbers of crickets in the containers will vary slightly but should not be below the stated number.
Crickets are suitable for bearded dragons, blue tongue lizards, geckos, other reptiles, turtles, chickens, ducks and other poultry, fish such as cichlids, barramundi and oscars, wild birds, spiders, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes and othe insect eating animals.
Please take care when unpacking your Insects. Sometimes other insects decide to enjoy life in our insect grow-rooms. Whilst every care is taken to ensure that no hitchhikers are present in our LiveFood products, sometimes other species will be present. Feel free to contact us if you would like an identification.
Blown away by the quality of these insects for my Beardie. Usually I get 4-8 dead crickets in every box from the pet shop and they don’t last very long. The large box of crickets from Reptile Realm were so big and healthy and ALL were alive! Really clean enclosure too. I also got dried Woodies and frozen crickets - both are amazing quality. So stoked to have found these guys and the VALUE is so worth it. Will be a lifetime buyer <3
Every time I’ve purchased from reptile realm every single container of insects has arrived in record time for 1 and for 2 no dead bugs this mob is the place to go for sure 👌
I purchased 200 cricketers to use as fishing bait for trout. They arrived very well packed with food in proper shipping box and in a plastic container. After a crash course in looking after live crickets I found it easy enough to clean out their container and replace the cardboard in the box every couple of days and wet paper towel every day for them to drink from. They certainly arrived very healthy. I’ll buy them again
Quick delivery, bugs were amazingly packed and all alive on delivery. Top quality supplier.
Finally after 8 years of going to the local pet shop for crickets and often finding the stock half dead or even unavailable, I decided to try online. I ordered from reptile realm on Wednesday morning and the crickets were here Thursday (regional Qld). Not one dead and still healthy 12 days later. Cheers
