Omnivores such as bearded dragons benefit from a variety of leafy vegetables in their diet. By growing your own vegetables, you can ensure that your animals have access to the freshest possible, chemical and pesticide free food. 

The seeds can be grown in pots with good quality potting mix or garden beds. Growing in several small pots can allow you to rotate the vegetables as they are eaten by your pet. 

Sow just a few seeds every week to provide a continual supply of food.

Kailann Brassica oleracea - Chinese Broccoli 

This fast growing vegetable is heat and frost tolerant. It is a very nutritious vegetable and a good source of manganese, antioxidants, beta-carotene, vitamins C, E, K and A. The leaves, stems and flowers can be eaten. 

Mustard "Golden streaks" Brassica juncea

A mustard green with fine golden-green leaves. The leaves can be repeat harvested. Mustard greens are a staple food. Mustard greens contain calcium, potassium, manganese, folate, C, A, K and B-group vitamins.

Rocket Eruca sativa - Arugula 

A fast growing staple, salad green with intricate green leaves. Rich in chlorophyll, calcium, potassium, folate, vitamins C, K and A.  

Suitable for Bearded Dragons, People and other Omnivores. Also ideal to grow for Chicken forage.
